报告人简介:
Yoshiteru NAKAMORI received a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Kyoto University in January 1980. He joined the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in April 1998 as a professor at the School of Knowledge Science. Since then, he has been developing knowledge science that incorporates the ideas of systems science. His recent research interest is the development of knowledge construction methodology, integrating systems thinking and knowledge management. From April 2002 to March 2008, he served as the dean of the School of Knowledge Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. From November 2003 to December 2008, he was President of the International Society for Knowledge and Systems Sciences. From April 2008 to March 2010, he was Vice-president of the International Federation of Systems Research. Since April 2010, he has been an academician of the International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences. Based on the recent original research on knowledge construction methodology, he has lectured on systems thinking and knowledge management at several graduate universities, including the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in China, the Thammasat University in Thailand, and the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. He published 22 books, 58 book chapters, 184 peer-reviewed journal papers, and 287 international conference papers
报告摘要:
This lecture argues technology and systems for creating valuable ideas from data through constructing knowledge. The primary concern is to make better decisions on economic and management issues in today's information-flooded society. Human creative activity belongs to soft technology with no physical entity to operate. Focusing on the ability of knowledge as judgment power, define knowledge technology as soft technology that underpins the human creative activities of converting data and information into knowledge, creating new ideas based on that knowledge, and validating those ideas. Knowledge technology covers soft technologies developed in informatics, business management, and systems science.
The knowledge system creates ideas from data and knowledge with knowledge technologies. Referring to the proposition that knowledge emerges by the interaction between explicit and tacit knowledge, define the knowledge system as a system that facilitates interactions between codified knowledge and personalized knowledge and generates ideas for solving a specific problem. Codified knowledge shall include data and information. Personalized knowledge is empirical knowledge that is difficult to put into words. Therefore, building knowledge systems requires mathematical knowledge technology and participatory knowledge technology.
The lecture finally proposes to promote the development of two knowledge technologies related to the emergence of ideas using agent-based simulation. One is to develop an agent-based simulator linked with big data. The simulation becomes more realistic by building a system that collects and analyzes quantitative and qualitative big data and automatically provides information that affects agent behavior. The other is to incorporate emotional product development and purchasing behavior models into the simulator, thereby making agent-based simulation results more realistic.
